Shop Policies
All objects and jewelry are designed and hand crafted by Kaminer Haislip. She fabricates each item from sterling silver sheet and wire and there is no casting of multiples. Each piece is individually hand made and unique, so there may be some variation.
Hand engraved items typically ship three weeks from purchase date. However, hand engraving is outsourced, so it could ship later depending on the engraver’s schedule.
Payment
Kaminer Haislip offers secure credit card acceptance for online Shop purchases and accepts all major credit cards. Your credit card will be charged the full amount when an item is purchased.
Return Policy
If you are not pleased with your purchase, then email info@kaminerhaislip.com within three days of receipt of your item to arrange for its return. You may request either an exchange or a refund of the purchase price, excluding shipping fees.
Returns or exchanges on items in condition sent, unworn, unused, and undamaged in original packaging are accepted within ten business days of the delivery confirmation date. You must have a receipt or proof of purchase to submit along with the item.
Once your item is received, we will inspect it and notify you of the status of your refund.
If your return is approved, we will issue you a refund back to your original method of payment. You should expect to see the credit within ten business days from the date the refund is issued, depending on your bank or card issuer’s policies.
If your return is not approved, it will be shipped back to you and a refund will not be granted. Kaminer Haislip has the right to deny a refund if the item returned does not meet our return policy requirements.
All shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Shipping costs are only reimbursed if the return is a result of our error (you received the wrong item). Otherwise, refund amount excludes all shipping charges.
For return shipping, ship the object in a sturdy box (not an envelope) and insure it for its full purchase price. We are not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise in return shipping.
Commissions, Made to Order, or Custom Orders are final sales and returns, exchanges, or refunds will not be accepted unless item is damaged upon receipt.
Any item customized with hand engraving is non-refundable unless engraving is incorrect or item is damaged upon receipt.
Shipping Policy
Kaminer Haislip ships all items through UPS and you will receive email tracking notifications from UPS. We are unable to ship to PO Box addresses.
We offer free local delivery to downtown Charleston addresses.
For international shipping, email info@kaminerhaislip.com for pricing and options. Kaminer Haislip is not responsible for any duties, taxes, or import fees.
Once your order is placed, in stock items will ship within three to five business days.
Commissions, Made to Order, or Custom Orders will be provided a shipment date after the deposit is paid.
If the item is damaged in shipping, it must be handled through UPS with an insurance claim. Be sure to retain all original packaging if a claim is to be made, because the shipping agent will request to examine it.
Insurance is included for the shipment of all items.
Gifts
Kaminer Haislip’s handcrafted objects are packaged in a grey dust bag and white box. Each jewelry item is packaged either in a grey dust bag and white box or jewelry box specific to that item’s function (pendant, etc).
We are happy to ship to another address if you request it at the time of your order.
Gift wrapping with a personalized enclosure card is available at no extra cost. Please include those details in the additional comment box with your order, such as type of gift (baby, wedding, birthday, etc), name of recipient, and content of message for enclosure card.
Gift recipients are welcome to a nonrefundable merchandise credit within one month of receiving gift unless object has been personalized with hand engraving. Please carefully follow the rules for all return merchandise and be certain to include not only your personal information for future shipment, but the name of the person who gave it to you so that you will be guaranteed the correct credit amount from the original purchase.
Sales Tax
Kaminer Haislip collects 9% Charleston, SC sales tax for all South Carolina residents.
Warranty
Kaminer Haislip guarantees her craftsmanship and materials are of the highest quality. If you have an issue with an object or piece of jewelry, then email info@kaminerhaislip.com immediately.
For repairs, email info@kaminerhaislip.com to arrange shipping or delivering your item to us. Repair, materials, and labor charges may apply. All shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
Kaminer Haislip does not cover damage caused by normal wear, neglect, misuse, incorrect cleaning or polishing, or accidents.
Functional objects are meant to be used and jewelry is meant to be worn, but how you handle, store, clean, and take care of those items will directly effect their longevity.
If you have lost an earring or cufflink and need a replacement mate, email info@kaminerhaislip.com. Kaminer will make you another one and the fee will be half of the amount of the pair. All shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
